I grew up and live in Massachusetts on the ancestral lands of the Mohican people. My background is in photography, traditional fiber arts and horticulture.
My work explores the liminal space between chance and control - both as subject matter and as a mode of creation. In my photography, natural dye and textile works, as well as my approach to the landscape (garden?), I consider the relationship between humans and the earth, revealing moments of harmony and tension between our human endeavors and the indiscriminate and persistent gracefulness of nature.
